In Love ❤️ with Germany's Black Forest Winery - Schloss Staufenberg

I've been here for the third time already 😊 The first time was just a family weekend winery and gourmet tour, with the golden autumn vineyards contrasting beautifully against the quaint and majestic castle. The unique hilltop location of the winery castle offers a stunning view. When it came time to choose a venue for our wedding, this place was the first thing that came to mind. I personally inquired about the venue and costs, and the prices are considered mid-to-high range among Black Forest castles, mainly because it's very popular in the summer. Unfortunately, I was told that weekend venues need to be booked two years in advance 🫠🫠🫠 But if you want to experience the unique scenery of a southern German Black Forest winery, this is the perfect place to come. The castle has its own wine label and a selection of wines from the surrounding region, available in 0.1L, 0.25L, and 0.75L sizes, with the 0.25L typically costing between 6-9 euros. The winery also has a shop where you can purchase local wines, and you can also buy them at the hiking trails in the vineyards or at the automatic vending machines in the Durbach parking lot (the best prices). I recommend trying the German Sekt, which is sparkling wine, from this region. It's very refreshing and tastes best when served chilled. 😘 There's also a hotel and restaurant on-site, offering simple pizzas, Flammkuchen, various salads 🥗, and hearty classic Baden cuisine, usually meat-based main dishes with a small salad. Prices range from 10 to 18 euros. Oh, and don't forget to order dessert; they're all specialty desserts from the Black Forest region. Remember to also pay for service when you check out, usually around 8%-10% is appropriate. I love this area so much that I'm already planning to come back in the fall. The vineyards are a sight to behold. At the Durbach parking lot, there's also a mountain bike rental shop. Many people ride bikes through the rugged slopes of the vineyard hills, and I'm in awe of them. #Germany #BestPlacesInGermany #GermanyBlackForest #GermanVineyards #GermanCastle #BadenWuerttembergSummer #WineEstate
