In Sri Lanka, Regain the Lost Childlike Innocence
In Sri Lanka, it feels like I've finally been able to step out of the monotonous life and rediscover the long-lost childlike wonder π. β First Stop π The Sea Train Β· A Journey into an Animated World Boarding the train between Galle and Colombo, I slowly travel along the coast of the Indian Ocean with the sea views in full display. As we approach Colombo, the railway is less than 5 meters away from the sea, making it feel like the train is really traveling on the sea π. I imagine myself as Chihiro, off to find Yubaba, but unfortunately, there's no cute No-Face man by my side βΊβ¦ β Second Stop π Elephant Orphanage Β· A Disney Princess Experience Card Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage is a place full of love π, taking in many homeless, trapped, or severely injured young elephants. Visitors can interact with the elephants, take photos, watch them eat and play, and interestingly, even bathe the elephants π. For a moment, I feel like a Disney princess from an animated movie, haha. Elephants are truly adorable creatures, and I wish there could be less slaughter in the world πβ¦ β Third Stop π Yala National Park Β· Where Are the Fantastic Beasts Yala Safari, said to be Africa's alternative, is a very novel experience for someone who has never experienced a wild Safari. We ride in a jeep, tracking wild animals π». Here, you have the chance to see sloth bears, Asian elephants, buffalo, wild boar, sambar deer, and various other animals. Spotting the famous Sri Lankan leopard requires luck, but this unpredictability is what heightens the emotionsβ¦ β Fourth Stop π£ Stilt Fishermen Β· The World's Most Amazing Fishing Method A unique cultural landscape in Sri Lankaβthe stilt fishermen, who sit on a wooden pole stuck into the sea bed to fish, looking from afar like they're on stilts. It is said that this method was devised by fishermen in the past who couldn't afford boats. "Poverty inspires creativity" is truly a saying that rings true! Surprisingly, the fishing rods don't even have bait, which is quite magical π€β¦ #Rambukkana#SriLanka #SriLankaTravel #SriLankaTourism #SriLankaTravelGuide#Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage#Yala National Park#Stilt Fisherman
