Indianapolis | Bluebeard

I hereby declare Bluebeard in Indy as one of my "Restaurants of the Year" for this year. 🏆 Ambience ~ The setting here is elegant, with a particularly comfortable courtyard. 🏡 I recommend sitting in the courtyard when the weather is nice. ☀️ In the evening, the courtyard is lit with lights, creating a great atmosphere. 💡 I've placed their menu on P5. Directly evaluating the dishes we ordered: Charcuterie & Cheese, a cheese platter, selected two types of mild cheese, and two types of salami, accompanied by some caper berries and olives, with a mustard seed sauce and a white sauce, which would be very satisfying with wine. 🍷 $22 Oyster, $4 each, relatively small in size but very fresh, just average. 🦪 Here comes the best of the night: the first main course, Hamachi Crudo. This dish is fantastic, made with hamachi fish paired with musk melon, a slice of fish with a slice of melon, complemented by yuzu vinegar and oil seed chili sauce, with a fresh and rich taste, truly amazing. 🌟 Highly recommended! $26 GRILLED QUAIL, I haven't seen this dish in an American restaurant for a long time, the last time was in a Middle Eastern restaurant. A must-order, okay. 🏹 The quail is roasted tender and juicy, with a slightly crispy skin and especially tender meat inside. If there is a standard for tenderness, this quail could be the benchmark. 🐦 But the sauce underneath is a bit salty and doesn't need to be eaten with it. A must-order, highly recommended! $39 RICOTTA GNOCCHI: Ricotta cheese dumplings, gnocchi is a classic Italian oil potato, made of starch and eggs, using ricotta cheese gives a more creamy flavor. 🧀 The seasoning of the whole dish is a bit heavy, the texture of the gnocchi is chewy, and it's quite tasty with the truffle mushroom sauce, but the portion is a bit large, those who like it can try it, I saw many people ordering it, $31. GRILLED RIBEYE: 14oz ribeye, served with a peach-flavored bell pepper sauce, the bell pepper is quite prominent, the steak is sprinkled with a lot of northern onions, we ordered it medium rare. 🥩 The whole steak is well-cooked, with the heat just right, $52. Dessert: Apple Cake, a very interesting dessert, with a unique shape made of peach mousse in the shape of an apple, the leaves are made of mint leaves, and the base is almond cake, with a light peach sauce. 🍰 So although this dessert is called apple cake, it seems that only the shape of the apple fits the title, haha. However, the texture of the mousse is a bit too creamy, I think it should be more compact, I suggest everyone to try it. I couldn't wait to recommend this restaurant to you the first time I came. The taste is really good, the environment is very comfortable, and the average cost per person without wine is about $60. 💲 #HiddenGemShared #AtmosphereRestaurant #Indianapolis #PurdueUniversityWestLafayetteCampus
