Indonesia 🇮🇩 Surabaya: A Day of Dining and Cafe Hopping

A day of dining and cafe hopping in Surabaya, visiting restaurants and cafes. On the way from Sewu Waterfall to Surabaya, we stumbled upon a local restaurant that was quite good, 📍Ocean Garden. The roast chicken, fried noodles, steak, and stir-fried vegetables were tasty but a bit too salty. The restaurant had a great view; you take off your shoes and sit on the second floor to enjoy the breeze. The hotel in Surabaya was booked on the spot, 🏨NARNA. Its location is good as it's in the city center, and you can start shopping on the commercial street right outside. The hotel's hardware is old and the service is average, so it's not highly recommended. There are other hotels like Hilton right next door. You can spend a whole day eating and strolling around the area surrounding the hotel. Right across from the hotel is a gelato shop, 📍Gelateria. Croissants + gelato balls, I chose the blueberry flavor, which is the most popular. The ambiance is great, the shop is comfortable, and the music is good too. It opens at 11 am, so to wait for it to open, we ordered two cups of coffee at the next door 📍Zerogram coffee shop. They roast their own beans, and the taste is good. Before ordering, you should say no sugar, otherwise, it's very sweet. I wanted to buy a pack of local coffee beans to take back, and the shop owner recommended us to go to the next door 📍DRAMA. Search on the map, and it's just inside the next door, hiding a food street. They roast their own beans, and there are quite a few categories. Walk a little towards the Hilton Hotel, and you'll arrive at the restaurant 📍Locaāhands Tunjungan. It's a standalone house located at the corner of the street, easy to find. The store has a great environment and is very spacious, with nice service! For breakfast, I took a taxi to 📍Brain Coffee, but it was closed that day. Google didn't mention that the nearby area is a village, and there were hardly any people in the morning. Later, I took a taxi to a nearby McDonald's for breakfast. In the evening, the commercial street is more bustling, with bright lights, people coming and going, and lots of motorcycles. All the way to the nearby shopping mall 📍Tunjungan Plaza, Tunjungan Plaza Shopping Center, the mall is quite large, with the fifth floor mostly for dining, and it's crowded during meal times. We went back to the first floor entrance 📍TOBY'S ESTATE - Coffee Roasters - coffee shop and restaurant. The hamburger and fries are okay, the open-faced sandwich with eggs, avocado, and sour-sweet pickled ginger on top, fried kale. Scrambled eggs, mushrooms, and toast are delicious. Their prices are a bit higher than other restaurants, but the environment is good. #RecordTheFoodOnTheTrip #Surabaya #IndonesianFood #SurabayaExplore #SurabayaFood
