π Initial D at Akagi Mountain ποΈ π
Every week, I'm racking my brain to figure out where to go on a day trip from Tokyo. Here's a summary of a lesser-known route for your reference. π Gunma Prefecture Β· Akagi Mountain π Starting from Tokyo π, it's less than 3 hours one way, with plenty of delicious food and beautiful scenery. 1οΈβ£ Akagi Mountain Panorama Observation Deck The scenery on both sides is completely different, incredibly beautiful! In the morning during autumn, you can see a sea of clouds βοΈ, and on regular nights, you can see the starry sky π (Note: The mountain road is not easy to navigate at night, so it's not recommended to go up or down the mountain at nightο½) There's a cafΓ© at the summit that you can visit, and it has Initial D manuscripts inside. The notice at the cafΓ© entrance in photo 13 is hilariously funny. 2οΈβ£ Kakumanyuan Nature Walking Trail The stunning wetland you see from the summit is right here! There are walking paths around the lake for a leisurely stroll. 3οΈβ£ Akagi Mountain Oonuma Lakeside By the lakeside, there are many restaurants, souvenir shops, and water sports like boating π¦’ (There's also an Akagi Mountain Shrine nearby β©οΈ). 4οΈβ£ Akagi Mountain Comprehensive Tourist Information Center A rest stop on the way up the mountain, where you can see black-faced sheep π. #WeekendGetaways #TokyoTravel #DayTripFromTokyo #GunmaSightseeing #GreatDayTripsFromTokyo #AkagiMountain
