At the request of my hostel buddies, here’s my guide to exploring Laos’ charming capital—where to go, eat, sleep, and play! 🏛️ Must-See Sights 1️⃣ Patuxai (Victory Gate) Best at sunset—channel your inner Parisian vibes! 2️⃣ Buddha Park (Xieng Khuan) A photogenic wonderland straight out of Temple Run. Worth the trip! 3️⃣ Reclining Buddha Temple Right next to Pha That Luang (which is better viewed from outside). Free and full of quirky photo ops! 4️⃣ That Dam (Black Stupa) Literally just a lonely tower in the road—snap a pic if you pass by. 🏡 Stay 📍 House of Jars Hostel Spotless! Shoes off upstairs (yes, even flip-flops). Super friendly staff—the receptionist might be the prettiest girl in Laos (she hid when I tried to photograph her 😂). 🍜 Eat & Play Night Market: Skip the food (meh) but try the "Flaming Beef" (🔥🐄). Carnival Fun: Bumper cars for 30,000 LAK/ride—Car #18 is the MVP! (My tailbone still hurts, but no regrets.) #LaosTravel #Vientiane #HiddenGems #SoutheastAsia #Backpacking
