Islamabad, Pakistan
Today we took a 4-hour ride from Lahore to Islamabad ππ¨ Our private car cost: 20,000 PKR (βΒ₯90) Of course, in the capital, we had to visit the landmarks! π΅π°β¨ π Pakistan Monument ποΈ Perfect to visit at night β fewer people, no crowds! Free entry π BUT Google Maps is wrong β Itβs located up a hill β donβt let Google drop you on the highway! π Faisal Masjid Mosque π Also free π β but shoe storage costs 50 PKR π (One guy tried to charge me 500 π€) The exterior is spectacular; the interior is just okay. Chinese visitors are super popular here β youβll feel like a mini-celebrity! π π Daman-e-Koh πA viewpoint overlooking the mosque β amazing for photos on a clear day! πΈ No signal up there π΅, so ask your driver to wait. π Saidpur Village ποΈ You can skip this one β not worth the time π« Under renovation β only one cafΓ© to sit in β Overall, Islamabad was a pleasant surprise! π No feeling of being unsafe or targeted β quite the opposite! Pakistanis are incredibly friendly to Chinese people π€β€οΈ Priority treatment everywhere β smooth and easy! π Must try: Mutton grilled chops π₯ π΅ Must drink: Chai tea β any stall is delicious! #Pakistan #Islamabad #TravelDiary #ChineseInPakistan #VIPtreatment πβοΈπ¨π³π΅π°
