Island Diary: Song Saa Private Island, Sihanoukville, Cambodia

#SongSaaPrivateIsland Song Saa Island, owned by an Australian couple, is romantically dubbed "Lovers' Island" by Chinese travelers—just the name alone makes you envy their dreamy life! Perhaps because it was near Lunar New Year, the island was blissfully quiet. Our speedboat carried only 10 people, with 8 being staff. Upon arrival, we were greeted at the private pier lounge, then whisked away on a 40-minute speedboat ride. The welcome ceremony was almost too enthusiastic—a dozen staff waving from afar, offering chilled cucumber-lemon water and towels (introverts beware: you’ll be escorted by an entire entourage to your villa!). The island felt like our private paradise. Only two Europeans were sunbathing as we arrived. Our butler gave a thorough intro to the amenities: spa, water sports, sunset cruises, and local foundation activities. Our villa? Absolute perfection 👆—private pool, balcony, and a layout that rivals 5-6 star Maldivian resorts. We booked a 4D3N stay (2 nights in a beach villa + 1 in an overwater bungalow). The welcome treats—champagne, snacks, and desserts—were just the cherry on top. (Fun fact: The island hosts max ~80 guests but has *200+ staff*—service is next-level.) Now, the real shocker: Food and drinks were priced like a Sihanoukville beachside café! ☕ $3 for coffee, $6 for fresh juice. Lunch and dinner menus changed daily, and every dish was a hit. This isn’t a sponsored post—just a mountain kid’s heartfelt ode to the sea. 🌊 (Where luxury meets untamed nature—Song Saa redefines barefoot elegance.) #CambodiaHiddenGem #PrivateIslandEscape #LuxuryTravel #SongSaaMagic #IslandDreaming
