🍇 Island of Ortigia with Millennia of Baroque History

It gets even better.” Ortigia in Sicily is almost at the southernmost tip of Italy and is an incredibly beautiful Baroque island. 🌴 📍 Ortigia, Sicily, Italy 📖 About Ortigia: Ortigia is the historic heart of Syracuse and has over 3,000 years of history. It’s an island connected to the mainland of Syracuse by two bridges. After the 1693 earthquake, the cathedral’s facade was rebuilt in Baroque style.
