Italian Restaurant IL CANTINORI šŸ

I first heard about this restaurant last September. One evening, while wandering near Brittany Hall (a dorm at NYU), sirens blared, and the roads nearby were suddenly closed. A moment later, a long car with an American flag drove past. It turned out that President Biden was visiting and having dinner at a restaurant across from Hall. At that time, the streets were filled with curious college students, holding their phones to take photos and videos. When Biden got out of the car, the crowd cheered, and the students spontaneously started singing the American national anthem. I had two strong impressions: First, even in the US, police cars clear the way for leaders. Second, patriotism education in the US is quite effective. 🌟 šŸƒ The next day, I saw on the news that Biden was at the United Nations for a meeting. I looked it up and found out it was an Italian restaurant with a Google rating of 4.6. On the 3rd, while looking for a place to have dinner near Brittany Hall, I suddenly remembered this restaurant. We walked in without needing to wait for a table. It's a traditional, old-fashioned restaurant with limited space between tables, filled with foreigners dining. šŸ½ļø 🌊 The pre-meal bread was quite good, served with Italian meat sauce instead of the common butter, which is quite unique. On the waiter's recommendation, we ordered the tomato and baby squid appetizer, which was delicious and worth recommending. For the main course, we had one squid ink pasta and one roasted salmon. We thought the squid ink pasta would be the Italian style with black squid ink sauce, but it wasn't. šŸŽ¢ The squid ink was mixed into the pasta, making it black, but it didn't stain our teeth. The salmon was roasted and served with a sauce that felt more American than Italian. Neither of the main dishes was particularly impressive or authentic to Italian cuisine; they were just okay. After the meal, we were given small biscuits, which were quite tasty and had several different flavors. We initially wanted to order tiramisu, but after having the biscuits, we felt it wasn't necessary. The total bill, including the tip, was $145, which is a bit pricey. šŸ’° 🌸 After dinner, we went to Rockefeller Center to see the Dior Star Clock and the Christmas tree. This year's Star Clock is said to be available only in Paris and New York. When the music started, accompanied by the light and shadow effects, it was truly magnificent. There were many visitors at the scene, and you could imagine how grand it would be during Christmas and New Year. 🌟 šŸ™ļø #NewYork #NYCAdventures šŸ—½ļøšŸŒŸ
