Italy's Saturnia Terrenal Staircase Hot Springs ♨️
For our August mini-vacation, we chose the Saturnia hot springs in Grosseto ♨️. The terraced design is incredibly beautiful and stylish. Most importantly, the hot spring water is naturally underground, rich in "minerals" and full of nutritious, pure natural ingredients. I had seen in bloggers' guides that the terraced hot springs are freely accessible, but they come with a lot of red thread worms 🪱 and other creatures, so I could only take a photo and check in 📷. Ultimately, we ended up soaking in the source at the Terme di Saturnia SpA & Golf Resort hotel. The water of the terraced hot springs is from the Parco Termale, which you pay to enter and is where the water flows down from. The hot spring water in the park comes from the source where we soaked. If you're a hotel guest, your stay includes access to Parco Termale, and you can use your room card to pass through a small door from the hotel into Parco. Driven by curiosity, I caught a waiter and asked where the water at the source comes from. The waiter was very kind, enthusiastic, and proud to explain, "if I understood correctly": Three thousand years ago, there was a volcano here, and this pool was naturally formed with countless small holes below, emitting natural underground water that is always kept at 37.5 degrees Celsius. The natural, millennia-old minerals and other energies are very beneficial for soaking. Indeed, at night when no one was around, I saw small bubbles in the pool, initially thinking it was raining, but now it seems they were coming from the water outflow. #HotSpringBathing #HotSpringHotel #NaturalScenerySharing #Grosseto #Saturnia
