Italy | Two-Day Tour of Florence
🏎️Two hours by train from Milan to Florence ❣️Suddenly going from the fashion capital to the quiet old town, it rained that day, but fortunately, it cleared up the next day. I chose a homestay with a view of the Piazza della Signoria from the window. No matter when you look out the window, there's always a bustling crowd, which only disperses around dawn, and the noise of the small town starts again at 7 am. 🧩In the afternoon, I first went to Piazzale Michelangelo, where you can overlook the entire city of Florence from the hill in the Oltrarno district. The panoramic view includes the central area of Florence, the Fortress of Saint John the Baptist, the Basilica di Santa Croce, and several bridges over the river arranged in sequence, especially the Ponte Vecchio; the Cathedral, the Palazzo Vecchio, the Bargello Museum, and the Octagonal Tower. Unfortunately, David was under restoration at that time, and the modern fence detracted from the tranquility of appreciating classical works. Next to the railing, happy couples were taking wedding photos, and the pigeons nearby were chirping. 🧩In the evening, I went to a Chinese barbecue restaurant next to the airport. The guide said that Prato nearby has many Chinese people doing all kinds of business. Having seen so many European cities 🌆, but the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore still stands out, with a beautiful ethereal and three-dimensional sense both day and night. ❣️There are many street musicians in the small town, elderly people pushing carts displaying exquisite jewelry, vintage items everywhere, and everyone happily chatting with colorful ice creams in hand. 🧩Students from the music academy suddenly started a string ensemble on the roadside café, playing Viva la vida, and passersby stopped to sing along, "Long live life." ❣️Continuing towards the center, there are various jazz and rock music, with passersby randomly joining in the dance, followed by thunderous applause. 🥰The afterglow of the setting sun sprinkled on the Ponte Vecchio, and although it was crowded and hard to stop, it was a rare moment of peace in my heart. #Italy #FlorenceTravel #ItalianTravel #MyTravelDiary #RecommendedCheckIn #Guide #ShareLife #Travel
