Izu | Hot Spring Soaking + Sea Views Two-Day Itinerary (2)🌊
Day 2: Mochimuki ➡️ Izu-Kuwagawa ➡️ Cape Tsumekizaki ➡️ Tokyo Wake up early and continue soaking in the hot spring. You can choose a time slot around sunrise (Mochimuki only offers sunrise views, not sunset). 🌅 1️⃣ Izu-Kuwagawa: After checking out, the hotel will send you to Izu Atami Station, from where you can take the JR train to Izu-Kuwagawa. Luggage Storage: There are lockers at Kuwagawa Station. If they're full, you can store your luggage at the Station Office for 1000 yen per item. 🎒 2️⃣ Cape Tsumekizaki Natural Park I chose Cape Tsumekizaki over Jogasaki Coast because the scenery is quite similar, but Tsumekizaki is less crowded and more peaceful. Highly recommended for its secluded glass-like sea and white lighthouse. One hour is enough for sightseeing and photos. 🌊 Transportation: Take a bus directly from Izu-Kuwagawa to Cape Tsumekizaki Natural Park. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance using Google Maps. The last bus back to Kuwagawa Station from Tsumekizaki leaves at 14:10. 🚌 3️⃣ Optional: Shirahama Beach + Ishizukizaki Depending on the time, you can visit Shirahama Beach and Ishizukizaki. 🌴 4️⃣ Return to Tokyo For the trip back to Tokyo, I booked the Premium Green Class on the Sapphire Lady a month in advance. If you have the time, it's a great experience. Just find a 🍑 (Peach) travel agent to book for you. 🌟 This trip to the countryside in Japan was a nice escape from the crowds. I can't wait to visit again and explore more of Izu, especially for the summer fireworks festival! 🎆 #IzuEscape #CountrysideChill #SummerFireworks 🌅🌿
