Japan's Super Off-the-Beaten-Path Cherry Blossom Spot 🌸

While everyone else is up early in Kyoto, Osaka, Tokyo, and other places, elbowing their way through crowds to capture cherry blossom selfies, I chose to avoid the hustle and bustle and headed to this super小众 place in Japanβ€”πŸš€ Kagawa Prefecture 🌿 Having visited Japan nearly 40 times, I've traversed many cities, big and small. A few years back, I vowed to visit Shikoku someday, and finally, this time I made it happen πŸŽ‰ I've heard people say that those who truly know how to enjoy Japan head to its countryside, And I couldn't agree more! πŸ™Œ How obscure is Kagawa Prefecture, you ask? When I mention it, most people are puzzled πŸ˜• and admit they've never heard of it. But if you mention Shikoku and the Seto Inland Sea, does that ring a bell? πŸ”” Kagawa Prefecture is located in the northeastern part of Shikoku, facing the Seto Inland Sea. It's the smallest prefecture in Japan and is known as the "Gateway to Shikoku." πŸšͺ Due to this year's weather conditions, all cherry blossoms in Japan bloomed later than usual. However, the day we arrived in Kagawa Prefecture, we happened to catch the cherry blossoms in full bloom!! 🌸 During our stay in Kagawa, every cherry blossom spot we visited was virtually deserted. It was just the two of us enjoying vast cherry blossom forests all to ourselves. Though this wasn't my first time cherry blossom viewing in Japan, this experience was the most unique. Especially with many cherry blossom groves by the sea, the pink and white blossoms against the blue ocean 🌊 created a stunning contrast that left me often in awe: Is this really real? It's so beautiful! Why are there so few tourists here? This place deserves to be known by more people! 🌏 #WhatToDoOnMay1st #SpringPoetry #SceneryOnTheGo #CherryBlossomViewing #Spring #TravelInJapan #JapaneseCherryBlossoms #ShikokuJapan
