Japan's Todai-ji Temple ๐ฎ๐ธ
Todai-ji Temple is: ๐ฎ The world's largest wooden structure ๐ฎ Home to the world's largest bronze Buddha statue ๐ฎ A UNESCO World Heritage Site in Japan ๐ฟ What left me in awe was not just the grand Daibutsu-den (Great Buddha Hall), ๐ฎ๐ธbut also the journey to the left of the exit, up the stone stairs leading to the Sangatsu-do (Hoke-do), Nigatsu-do (rebuilt in 1669), and Teppei-zan Hachiman-gu Shrine. ๐บ ๐ฎ๐ธCompared to the bustling atmosphere of the Great Buddha Hall, Nigatsu-do is somewhat quieter and more serene. Walking on the streets that date back to the Tang Dynasty ๐ฎ๐ธ I forgot the boundaries of time and slowly immersed myself in the legacy of the Tang era, gaining a sense of reality for that distant and unfamiliar period. ๐ ๐ฎ๐ธ Most importantly, it was here that I witnessed the sunset of life ๐. ๐ฎ๐ธThe sunlight before sunset cast on my face was breathtakingly beautiful ๐ญ. ๐ฎ๐ธTime seemed to stand still in that moment, so healing. Along the way, you can feed the adorable deer with ๐ฆ Senbei (special rice crackers)! ๐ธ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ธ #Japan #Travel ๐
