Japan Exhibition Diary | Hamamatsu Castle ๐ฐ
Hamamatsu Castle is located in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. ๐ธ๐ It was originally built in the 15th century and is known as one of Japan's famous "Cities of Success." The history of the castle dates back to the Muromachi period when it served as the residence of the Imagawa clan. ๐ฟ ๐ In 1568, Tokugawa Ieyasu took over Hamamatsu Castle and spent 17 years here. During this time, he worked hard to lay the foundation for the future establishment of the Tokugawa Shogunate. ๐ธ๐ In 1615, Ieyasu moved the shogunate to Edo (present-day Tokyo), and Hamamatsu Castle was managed by successive generations of the Matsudaira clan. ๐In 1950, Hamamatsu Castle Park was established, and the donjon was reconstructed. ๐ฐ The park and traditional Japanese garden below Hamamatsu Castle are also very beautiful. ๐ธ๐ With few visitors and plenty of shaded greenery, it's a perfect place to relax and unwind. ๐ณ #JapanExhibitionDiary ๐ #TokyoExhibitionDiary ๐
