Japan Exhibition Diary | Hamamatsu Castle ๐Ÿฐ

Hamamatsu Castle is located in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿƒ It was originally built in the 15th century and is known as one of Japan's famous "Cities of Success." The history of the castle dates back to the Muromachi period when it served as the residence of the Imagawa clan. ๐ŸŒฟ ๐ŸŒ† In 1568, Tokugawa Ieyasu took over Hamamatsu Castle and spent 17 years here. During this time, he worked hard to lay the foundation for the future establishment of the Tokugawa Shogunate. ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿƒ In 1615, Ieyasu moved the shogunate to Edo (present-day Tokyo), and Hamamatsu Castle was managed by successive generations of the Matsudaira clan. ๐ŸŒ†In 1950, Hamamatsu Castle Park was established, and the donjon was reconstructed. ๐Ÿฐ The park and traditional Japanese garden below Hamamatsu Castle are also very beautiful. ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿƒ With few visitors and plenty of shaded greenery, it's a perfect place to relax and unwind. ๐ŸŒณ #JapanExhibitionDiary ๐ŸŒŸ #TokyoExhibitionDiary ๐ŸŒ†
