The preservation measures, like temperature and humidity control, are done exceptionally well. ππΈ There were oracle bones, bronze vessels, stone tablets, and Buddhist statues from various periods... Since it was raining that day, there were very few visitors. ππΈI could linger in front of each piece for as long as I wanted. Up close, I saw the "one wave with four folds" technique and traced the evolution of Chinese characters from oracle bone script to bronze inscriptions, from Han clerical script to Wei stele script, and finally to Tang regular script. ππΈ Standing in front of the bright, mirror-like bronze vessel "Zhuibei," I finally understood the phrase "using bronze as a mirror" in a literal sense. π #Tokyo #CalligraphyMuseum #TokyoMuseum ποΈπ
