💫Jardin Majorelle is one of the most sought - after attractions in Marrakech, Morocco. It's renowned for its vibrant colors, exotic plants, serene atmosphere, and its profound connection with the fashion maestro Yves Saint Laurent. 🌿 Creation Background 📜 In 1923, the French Orientalist painter Jacques Majorelle purchased this piece of land in Marrakech. 🖌️ 🎨Over time, he planted a variety of plants and constructed a villa along with the garden. By 1931, the core building of the garden was completed, blending Moorish style with Art Deco elements. 🏰 🌌Jacques Majorelle concocted a highly eye - catching cobalt blue and used it to paint all the buildings and pottery in the garden. This particular blue later became the hallmark of Jardin Majorelle and had a profound impact on subsequent designers. 🌵 From then on, there was a unique blue in the world known as "Majorelle Blue." 💙 YSL's Involvement 🌟 👨🎨In 1980, Yves Saint Laurent and his partner and business collaborator Pierre Bergé bought this garden, which was on the verge of being abandoned, and set about restoring it. They made every effort to preserve Majorelle's original design while adding more plants and renaming the villa as "Villa Oasis." 🌴 #Morocco #Marrakech #Travel #Vacation
