I’ve been wanting to try Zi Yan Bai Wei Ji for a while—finally went while passing through Jersey City this weekend! 👉🏻 Bai Wei Chicken – My pick! I debated but went with their signature dish. A whole box of tender, flavorful braised chicken—deeply spiced, not gamey at all. Tastes just like the marinated chicken I used to have back home. Finished it all by myself! 👉🏻 Spicy Pickled Pepper Wood Ear Mushroom – My pick! Not too saucy, but the wood ear is well-seasoned—tangy and spicy, perfect with rice. 👉🏻 We also tried: 🥢 Couple’s Beef Slices – Beef, tendon, and tripe.
