Jersey City finally has its own omakase spot—of course it opens right after I move away! 😂 Still in soft opening, $70 gets you 12 courses: two appetizers, eight sushi pieces, one hand roll, and a dessert or heated sake. 🍶✨ We started with scallop & avocado (soft, sweet, creamy) and snow crab sunomono (tangy, crisp seaweed highlighting the crab’s sweetness). The uni grilled fish sushi was a standout—smoky fish, sweet uni, and a sauce reminiscent of burger spread! 🍔🔥 Highlights from the sushi flight: 🐟 Snapper – delicate, topped with toasted seaweed that gave a subtle cumin-like aroma. Loved it! 🐠 Tuna – rich, fatty, and full of deep umami—a must for tuna fans. The hand roll was my favorite!
