Jersey City Shanghainese Food — Real Review 🥢🧐
I’ve nearly tried every restaurant in JC—this time, I spotted a Shanghainese spot on social media and ordered three popular dishes via 🐼 Panda Delivery. Here’s the honest take! 👉 Borscht Soup The winner of the three! Choose single or double portion. Cabbage, carrots, potatoes in a tangy, slightly sweet tomato broth—tastes a bit like ketchup but cozy for winter. 🍅🥣 👉 Steamed Beef with Rice Flour Tender beef, but the portion was small. Underneath, a layer of cabbage. Not what I expected from “fen zheng niu rou”—oily and just okay. 🥩🌿 👉 Crispy Salt & Pepper Pork Trotter Many said this was good, but… the hair wasn’t fully cleaned off, and there was that distinct pork smell (you know the one). One bite was enough for me. 🐖🚫 Got any other tasty JC restaurant recommendations?
