Journey of Meaning | Summer is Coming! VA Beach Resort

Tomorrow marks the beginning of May—summer, sunshine, and beaches 🏖️ are just around the corner! Today, I’m sharing my personal favorite VA Beach Resort that I visit every year ☺️❤️ 🏖️ Virginia Beach 🏖️ Marriott Oceanfront Resort 🪸 Book directly on their official website 🪸 The resort provides wristbands for access to all facilities 🪸 Features multiple restaurants with different styles 🏖️ Preface For those living in the DMV Area, if you’re not flying to another state, there are two major nearby beaches in the summer: Virginia Beach and Ocean City Beach. Having lived here for 10 years and visited both, I personally prefer VA Beach 😉. I find it cleaner and slightly less crowded (thanks to one particularly overwhelming experience with the crowds at OC Beach, lol). 🏖️ Best Time to Visit If you’re not a fan of crowds (both my partner and I prefer to avoid huge crowds), I highly recommend visiting during the shoulder months—May to June and September. You won’t have to wait in long lines for meals either. A couple of years ago, we were lucky enough to work remotely from the beach. Waking up early for a seaside stroll, enjoying breakfast, and working while listening to the soothing ASMR of ocean waves—those days were truly fulfilling. 🏖️ Why Call It a Resort? Because it has everything you need! Downstairs, there’s an indoor pool where kids can play, surrounded by sunbeds and seating areas for relaxing Additionally, the building houses an ice cream shop and several themed restaurants. Right across the street, there’s another hotel with even more dining options. It’s essentially a resort where you can have a fantastic time without ever leaving 💆🏻‍♀️. 🏖️ Room Photos I’ve stayed in two of their room types: the King Size Bedroom and the Junior Suite. Both were excellent 🤙🏻. 🏖️ Tutu Seaside Bar & Grill | We always make sure to have breakfast at Tutu at least once during our stay. Their fruit and veggie smoothies are absolutely delicious! Perfect for a summer day (I always finish mine before remembering to take a photo…). 🏖️ Orion’s Roof | Make a reservation in advance! If possible, book around sunset time. We reserved for around 6:00 PM and requested a window seat to enjoy the sunset 🌄🥰. Their sashimi is incredibly fresh, and the sushi is made by an Asian chef—quite authentic 👍🏻. Another must-try is their famous miso fish… so good it’s almost unfair 🤣. The pasta, however, is just average—you can skip it 😉. 🏖️ Nighttime Views After dinner, head to the courtyard bar where you can sit, listen to the waves, feel the ocean breeze, and enjoy a drink 🍹. #VirginiaBeach #VirginiaBeachResort #BeachGetaway
