🚌 Just Back from My Cambridge Day Group Tour!

Today I’m sharing my amazing day trip to the University of Cambridge! I joined a small group tour with round-trip ride-sharing from London – super efficient! 👌 Perfect for those who want to see the best of Cambridge without the hassle of planning. I originally considered going solo, but thinking about transport, routes, tickets… my head was spinning 😵‍💫. So glad I chose a group tour – totally worry-free! ❤️ All my dream spots were checked off: King’s College Chapel (where Xu Zhimo’s poetry stone is!) Punting on the River Cam 🛶 The quirky Corpus Clock ⏰ The very photogenic Mathematical Bridge 🌉 Trinity College with Newton’s Apple Tree (a descendant!) 🌳🍎 📢 Important reminders: College opening hours are strict! Especially the famous ones – they close as early as 4 or 5 PM. Always check in advance! Wear comfortable shoes 👟! Cambridge is full of cobblestone streets. Walking all day is no joke. I made the mistake of wearing new leather shoes and ended up with two giant blisters 😭. 🚙 Our group had only 5 people – small and cozy! The guide confirmed the meeting point via email a day before (multiple pickup locations across London offered – we picked the closest one). We rode in a comfy van straight to Cambridge 🚐. Our guide was awesome – a safe driver, super knowledgeable, and hilarious! He shared fun stories and history all the way 🎤. He also took us through less crowded paths and saved us tons of time. ⚠️ Tips you need: ① Carry some cash. While most places accept cards, small vendors (like postcard stands or ice cream carts) prefer cash. ② Respect the college rules – don’t step on the grass at King’s College! Also, legend says touching the Corpus Clock brings bad luck… so look, don’t touch! 🙊 ③ If you want to go punting, the guide can help negotiate or recommend trusted boatmen (DIY can be tricky). If you get motion sick, bring meds! 💊 Overall, it was a smooth and fun day! We left a bit after 8 AM – no crazy early start 😴. Followed the guide’s route – no backtracking, more time for exploring and photos! 📸 #CambridgeDayTrip #UKStudent #CambridgeUniversity #CorpusClock #KingsCollege
