Just Back from Vietnam, Sharing My Honest Experience

Ho Chi Minh City: 60/100 Ho Chi Minh City Walk: No encounters with motorbike snatchers, but the traffic is chaotic with an overwhelming number of fast and disorderly motorbikes. I witnessed two motorbike accidents in 10 minutes outside the Pink Church. Additionally, there are scammers everywhere—taxi drivers overcharging, men approaching to clean your shoes and demand money, and even elderly women selling water jacking up prices. Overall, personal safety is not an issue, but be prepared to be ripped off financially. Apart from a good selection of restaurants, the overall experience in Ho Chi Minh City is just average. Nha Trang: 80/100 In comparison, Nha Trang is much more enjoyable, simpler, and more comfortable than Ho Chi Minh City. Vinpearl Land: VinWonders is known as the Disney of Vietnam. The amusement park is vast, and there's no queue for the rides. The cable car over the sea is worth experiencing, especially when the weather is good for photos. The park also offers many hotels with excellent service. However, the park's infrastructure is lacking, with about half of it closed due to low visitor numbers. I was hesitant to try the thrilling rides for fear of accidents due to disrepair, as everything seemed quite desolate. Dining options on the island are limited, pricey, and not particularly tasty. The overall feeling is similar to Sanya's resort hotels. Honestly, I don't think it's worth spending time here. Nha Trang City: Many coffee shops and seafood restaurants are worth visiting. For coffee shops, I highly recommend Ola Cafe, which is very photogenic, full of design elements, and reasonably priced. For seafood, Hải Sản Thanh Sương 2 is a must-visit; I went twice, and it offers great value for money with excellent service. Nha Trang Cathedral requires no reservation or admission fee, but you need to make a donation upon entry. The architecture is distinctive and photogenic. The beauty of Hon Chong Promontory cannot be captured by a smartphone, which is why you'll see men around trying to take the perfect shot for their girlfriends. Po Nagar Cham Towers, a must-visit, features Hindu-style architecture and requires appropriate attire (no shorts or tank tops); robes are available to change into at the site. The long coastline is also a great place for evening strolls, and you can encounter many seafood barbecue stalls along the way, making for a pleasant experience with a drink in hand. Island Hopping: Black Island - Yen Island - Hon Tam Island Vietnam's seas don't compare to those of Malaysia, Indonesia, or even Thailand; there's no crystal-clear "glass sea" in Vietnam. Snorkeling at Black Island reveals nothing; Yen Island is off-limits for landing, and you can only engage in activities on boats anchored by the island, with options for diving for a fee or free diving, which can be quite enjoyable if you're a strong swimmer; Hon Tam Island offers little beyond its mud baths. #VietnamTravel #HonChongPromontory #NhaTrangFood #NhaTrangCathedral #PoNagarChamTowers #VinWondersPearlAmusementPark #NhaTrangPearlIslandResort #HoChiMinhTravel #HoChiMinhAvoidPits #VietnamAvoidPits
