🦞 Just Had the Most Amazing Lobster Risotto in Santa Barbara!
📍 Restaurant: Mizza (located in SB Downtown) This is officially my favorite restaurant in SB right now! 🏆 I’ve previously recommended places like Secret Bao and Your Place — while they’re great for Santa Barbara, they might not stand out as much in bigger food scenes like LA or NYC. But Mizza? It completely blew me and my two friends away. We all agreed it’s even better than Toma! We finished three main dishes in 15 minutes — sauce and all. 😋🍽️ We ordered: 🦞 Lobster Risotto 🍝 Spicy Shrimp Pink Vodka Pasta 🎃 Butternut Ravioli 🍞 Bruschetta Each dish was incredible — it’s almost impossible to pick a favorite! ✨ Lobster Risotto: This tasted like it was simmered in rich lobster broth — so flavorful and aromatic! It came with two whole lobster claws and plenty of tender shrimp. A must-order! 🥘🦞 ✨ Spicy Shrimp Pink Vodka Pasta: If the risotto wins with freshness, this pasta wins with depth! It’s mildly spicy (just enough to enhance the flavor), super creamy, and loaded with shrimp, Parmesan ham chunks, and mushrooms. Every bite was a delight. ✨ Butternut Ravioli: The biggest (and best) surprise! Creamy sauce topped with crushed nuts (tasted like pecans 🤩). The rich sauce paired with the soft pumpkin filling was heavenly — not heavy at all. Do NOT skip this! ✨ Bruschetta: Came after the mains — perfect timing! The charred bread topped with tomato, black vinegar, and thin garlic slices was refreshing and balanced. It cleansed the palate like an “Italian cucumber salad” 🥖🍅. 🍮 Tiramisu: Okay, this was just alright… a bit too sweet, and the ladyfingers weren’t soaked enough. I’ve had better in Tianjin 😅… 7/10. 🍹 Pineapple Express Cocktail: So good and pretty! Tasted like fresh pineapple juice hiding a rum punch. Will definitely order again. 🍍💛 #UCSB #SantaBarbara #FoodieFind #HiddenGem #MizzaSB #LobsterRisotto #ItalianFood
