Kakawa Chocolate House — The Ultimate Hot Chocolate Experience!
Before coming to Santa Fe, a friend highly recommended Kakawa Chocolate House — it was even featured on MSN Local as “One of the Most Luxurious Places in the World to Drink Hot Chocolate”! My expectations were sky-high. When we arrived, the staff warmly offered us samples of their different hot chocolate flavors since it was our first visit. After tasting a few, we ordered a hot chocolate flight. The sweetest touch? They labeled each cup on the tray so we wouldn’t mix them up! ✨🧡 🍫 American: Smooth, sweet, and creamy — just like classic hot chocolate. 🍫 Jeffersonian: A perfect balance between modern richness and traditional Mexican graininess — really lets the cocoa flavor shine. 🍫 Chili: The one I was most excited about! A spicy kick that sneaks up on you 🌶️… but in the best way. 🍫 Megan: Surprising notes of almond — tasted like a cozy blend of childhood almond drink and chocolate. The shop also offers chocolate-dipped mango/chili/apricot treats 🥭, plus truffles in flavors like caramel, sea salt, and rose — but also more unique ones like prickly pear, lavender, and pomegranate. I wanted to take them all home! And the bathroom? 😂 There’s a sadly humorous sign saying: “We are a historic building with historic plumbing. If you flush something you shouldn’t… you might cause a historic flood.” 💧🚫 📍Kakawa Chocolate House: 1050 Paseo De Peralta, Santa Fe, NM 87501 #Santa Fe #KakawaChocolate #NewMexicoEats #DessertGoals 🍵🔥✨
