Kraków Michelin Restaurant with Mandatory Service Charge
💟I've heard for a while that dining at Michelin-starred restaurants in Poland offers great value for money. So, I took the opportunity during a weekend trip to Kraków to visit Szara Ges, a restaurant that has received quite a few positive reviews on Little Red Book. The restaurant is well-located, right in the Main Market Square. I ordered the 5-course tasting menu, which was priced at 360 zł, equivalent to 650 RMB, and I thought it was reasonably priced.💟 💟 However, when it came time to pay the bill, I was surprised to find an additional service charge of nearly 60 zł, which is about 100 RMB, as shown in the last photo. The waiter had an unpleasant expression when I asked about it and said, "this is mandatory," which left me quite displeased. Although it's not a huge amount of money, being forced to pay a service charge is quite annoying!💟 💟For those considering visiting Michelin-recommended restaurants in Kraków, think twice about this one. The appetizers were indeed impressive, and the Polish duck dumplings were tasty, but the steak was so sinewy that it was basically chewless. With the additional charges, I'd rate the overall experience 6 out of 10.💟 Szara Gęś w Kuchni Rynek Główny 17, 31-008 Kraków, Poland #StudyingInSweden #Michelin #FoodDaily #PolandTravel #PolishCuisine #KrakówTravel #KrakówFood #KrakówExplore #KrakówRestaurant ### name:Szara Gęś w Kuchni address:Rynek Główny 17, 31-008 Kraków, Poland type:place ###
