🌄 Kyoto, Japan | A Day Trip to the Charming Towns

Many friends have visited Japan, and if you've seen the sights of Kyoto City and are looking for something different, here's a local's one-day play guide to the north of Kyoto City. Let's see if any of these places catch your eye! 😍 🚗 How to Get to Kyoto's Seaside [Share My Itinerary] Depart from Kyoto ➡️ Take the JR (about 2 hours) ➡️ Amanohashidate Station ➡️ Take a bus (about 1 hour) ➡️ Iga Funaya ➡️ INE cafe (I personally find this route quite romantic, as you can see the sea along the way) 🌉 Yura River Bridge: The "Sea Train" from Spirited Away 📍 Address: Yuka Bridge, Fukuchiyama City, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan 🟠 The Yura River Bridge stands in the sea, about 552 meters long, and only about 3 meters above the river; it's very similar to a scene from Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away. The train slowly travels over the water, which is also a beautiful sight in Japan. Amanohashidate: Walk on the Bridge to Heaven and Stroll Through the Pine Forest 📍 Address: Monju, Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan 🟠 Amanohashidate is a sandbar filled with pine trees. Visiting this place will definitely be satisfying. Iga Funaya: Japan's Most Unique Fishing Village 📍 Address: 11, Higashi, Ine-cho, Nada District, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan 🟠 The charming Ine village boasts unique funaya (boat houses) adjacent to the bay. Fishermen's docks and homes are built over the water, with the first floor serving as a boat and the second floor as living space. It's peaceful and serene, and this place is considered one of the most scenic villages in Japan. ☕️ INE cafe in Iga: A Café Floating on the Sea 📍 Address: Hira, Ine-cho, Nada District, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan 🟠 A café converted from a funaya, many people come to INE cafe to forget about time and slowly feel the healing power of the sea. Especially at sunset, the reflection of the evening glow and the Ine Bay are beautifully intertwined. #TravelWithXiaohongshu #MustVisitHomestays #COTDCoffeeExploration #Kyoto #KyotoTravel #Japan #JapanTravel #JapanTravelGuide #WeekendGetaways
