🌈 Kyushu Family Trip | The Fairy Tale Town of Yufuin 🏰
Yufuin (also known as Yufu Onsen) is located in Oita Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan. It is not only a very popular hot spring town in Japan ♨️, but also the inspiration behind Hayao Miyazaki's "My Neighbor Totoro" 🎨. This hot spring town is filled with fairy tale colors and is perfect for a leisurely City Walk. 📍 Address: Kawakami Yufuin-cho, Yufu City, Oita Prefecture, Yufuin Onsen, Kawakami Yufu ⏰ Play time: 4 hours 🚌 Instead of being obsessed with taking the Yufuin no Mori train, we took a bus from Kumamoto to Beppu and chose Yufuin as a transfer point. We took a bus from Kumamoto to Yufuin directly, with a schedule from 7:45 to 11:53. 📦 To match the fairy tale town theme, we chose a lively yellow-green color combination today. We actually arrived in Yufuin around 12:10. First, we checked our luggage at the comprehensive tourist information center next to the station. The large box is 600 yen each with no time limit. 🗺️ Tourist route Yu-no-Kawa Street There are plenty of food, drinks, and fun things along the way. Many recommended shops have long lines of tourists. Next to the tourist center is the famous Yufu Mabushi (mabushi) restaurant, but there were too many people in line, so we continued and chose another Japanese lunch restaurant. The taste was also good. 🍰 Recommended delicious food along the street in order: B-Speak | Famous raw milk Swiss roll, original flavor 1620 yen, melts in your mouth Milch Dessert Shop | Mainly pudding + semi-cooked cheesecake Gold Award Croquette | There are two shops with different tastes and prices, about 200-300 yen, you can try it Japanese Tea 5toku | Matcha specialty store Fairy Tale Town Yufuin Floral Village 🧚♀️ Walking through Yu-no-Kawa Street, you will see the entrance of the fairy tale town, which draws on the style of the most beautiful village in England, Cotswolds. Many scenes in Hayao Miyazaki's movies will appear ~ You can also get close to many small animals that appear in fairy tale books, such as sheep, rabbits, and squirrels. Buy feeding by yourself, 100 yen each time, which belongs to children's happiness. Kinrin Lake 🏞️ Walking through the fairy tale town and continuing to go forward, you will arrive at Kinrin Lake. Surrounded by the foothills of Mount Yufu, the lake and mountain scenery are pleasant. There is a wooden plank road around the lake, and walking along the lake is pleasing to the eye. But the lake is actually very small, you can walk around it in about 10 minutes. There is also a torii on the right side of the lake, which looks very good when photographed. Next to it, there is a Tenjin Shrine. If you have enough time, it's really pleasant to blow the breeze and watch the scenery by the lake. #Yufuin #YufuinTown #YufuinKinrinLake #KyushuTravel 🌟🍁🚶♀️
