Visiting Fukuoka? Itsukushima Island is a must-visit spot~It's really chill and relaxing! ❗️ 🌊 Itsukushima Island (also known as Silk Island) has two main areas to explore, one is Kewa, and the other is the Husband and Wife Rocks! They are quite far from each other~ Kewa is fairly average. But Husband and Wife Rocks offer more to see and do, and are stunningly beautiful! They are also the choice of most visitors. ☀️ Make sure it's a sunny day, the sea truly looks like jelly! 🚌 Transportation Many people say that public transportation is troublesome and suggest renting a car or driving yourself. Actually, transportation from Fukuoka to Itsukushima Island is very convenient! The scenery along the way is breathtakingly beautiful! ‼️ ✔️ There are two transportation options: you can take a direct bus or take the subway and then a bus. ❶ Bus 🚌 (Showa Bus): Direct from Hakata Bus Terminal to Itsukushima Island, board at 3F/32 (Suica card is accepted) Journey: About 1 hour, very convenient! Get off at "Futamigaura" and right across is the Husband and Wife Rocks ⛩️ Schedule: The earliest bus is at 09:38, and the latest is at 18:00. Buses run every half hour. ❷ Subway 🚇 and then Bus 🚌: Take the subway from 'Hakata Station' to 'Kyushu University Research City', then transfer to the bus 'Nishinoura Line' to 'Futamigaura' Journey: About 1 hour; you can also walk from 'Kyushu University Research City', which is about 1 kilometer, with many scenic spots along the way. Schedule: The subway departs from 8 am, with many options!
