LA|Second Visit to Sushi Sonagi 🍣 Super Super Thoughtful Spot!

Brought another friend for my second visit this time. Right after we were seated, the server asked if I still don’t eat scallions!!! I was genuinely touched—they remembered my allergy from eight months ago 🥹 Then, when ordering sake, they mentioned the one I had last time was still available and asked if I’d like it again. So thoughtful—they remembered everything! No wonder it’s my favorite sushi place. The food was consistently excellent, with a balanced mix of raw and cooked dishes—I really enjoy this style. This time, we tried the summer menu (I’ve attached it at the end!). The last time I came, it was the winter menu. Not too different, just crab rice swapped for shrimp rice. ✨ For the sushi part, the chef mentioned a special seasonal sanma (pike mackerel) available only these two weeks—it’s his favorite too. Feeling lucky ! My dining partner thought the sushi rice was a bit too acidic, but I didn’t mind—I generally prefer a tangier vinegar rice. 🔥 No need to say, the service was impeccable as always. At the end, they gave us a handwritten thank-you card with a cute little cloud drawing ☁️—absolutely loved it! Will definitely return~ #Foodie #Omakase #JapaneseCuisine #LosAngeles #SushiBar #LAFood #EatWithJoy
