LA | A Beautiful Michelin β French Meal | Los Angeles Fine Dining π½οΈ
Michelin One Star β Camphor π½οΈπ«π· A creative fusion of French and Southeast Asian flavors, located in the Art District of DTLA. Founded by chefs Max Boonthanakit and Lijo George, who previously worked at Blue by Alain Ducasse β a Michelin-starred restaurant in Bangkok. After the pandemic, they decided to bring their talents to Los Angeles. The decor is relaxed old-money elegance πΌβ¨, and the menu blends classic French bistro fare with vibrant Southeast Asian spices and accents. We started with a complimentary amuse-bouche, followed by π Sea Bream with Green Apple & Uni π β a fresh, bright fish cup β and a delicious Beef Tartare. The Chicken π main course was a standout β French-style sous vide chicken, perfectly tender and full of flavor. The Steak was also excellent, though the sauce leaned a bit salty. For dessert, we skipped the famous kiwi dish π₯ and went for Bread Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream π¦ β highly recommended! ππ» We also tried the chocolate dessert. Overall, a lovely experience. Their website even sells merch and Chef Maxβs homemade chili sauce πΆοΈ! Camphor positions itself as a casual yet refined French spot β perfect for business dinners, family meals, or a special date night. β Camphor π½οΈπ«π· π 923 E 3rd St Suite 109, Los Angeles, CA #CaliforniaLife #LosAngelesLife #LA #LACheckIn #LAFoodFinds #LAWeekend #LAEats #Foodie
