LA Food Journey • Newport Seafood — A Must-Try Spot for Lobster in LA!
Craving lobster in Los Angeles? Last year I tried Boston Lobster in Chinatown, and this year it’s Newport Seafood’s turn! 🎉 With multiple locations, we visited the San Gabriel branch. Not sure what locals think, but as Bay Area visitors — we were impressed! 🥳 Here’s what we ordered based on server recommendations: 🦞 Signature Lobster – The server said locals usually go for 3-4 lbs, but since we drove all the way from the Bay… we had to get 5 lbs! And honestly, we could’ve eaten more 😂 It was stir-fried to perfection — super flavorful, with a delicious aroma clinging to each piece. We even found some lobster roe! Rumor has it they use a secret cooking method you won’t find anywhere else. Compared to last year’s lobster feast, this was richer and more aromatic — probably thanks to the generous amount of scallions and lobster oil! 💯 🍖 French-Style Filet Mignon – Tender beef stir-fried with garlic butter 🧄🧈. So soft and juicy — it practically melts in your mouth! 🥬 Stir-Fried Pea Shoots – A classic greens dish to balance the meal. Huge portion — definitely worth it! 🧈 Pan-Fried Tofu – Looks simple, but it’s a hidden gem! Crispy outside, soft inside, served with a special dipping sauce. So good! Overall, we had a great experience — delicious food and excellent service. Our group of four finished every last bite! 🍽️ Total came to $246 before tip. 📍 Newport Seafood Restaurant 518 W Las Tunas Dr, San Gabriel, CA 91776 #LAEats #LAFoodGuide #LAFoodDiary #LosAngelesFood #BestLobsterInLA #FoodReview #ChineseCuisine #SanGabrielEats
