La Voile on Newbury Street – Absolutely worth it! 🎉
I genuinely recommend this classic French restaurant in Boston – La Voile. (A place where the taste outshines the ambiance!) (And it’s even better than the photos!) Trust me on this! 🤩 The first bite was the Soupe de Poisson 🐟🍲. Slightly spicy, with the tang of tomatoes and the freshness of fish intertwined. Served with a slice of baguette slathered with garlic aioli – it truly warmed my soul! ❤️ Next up were the Escargots de Bourgogne 🐌. Butter sizzling gently in a small cast-iron pot, filled with intense garlic aroma. The snails were tender and almost melted in my mouth (just a bit hot!). Using bread to wipe clean every last drop of that buttery garlic sauce felt like the most French kind of romance. 🥖💖 The Pan-Seared Foie Gras – you really have to try this! 🦆🍎 (The apple sauce was just perfect.) Rich, gentle, restrained, yet leaving a lingering impression. (My favorite of the night! ✨) For the main course, I had the Steak with Foie Gras. The luxurious fat from the foie gras seeped into the steak, creating an incredibly aromatic and perfect bite. 🥩💦 I usually don’t love duck, but this time I couldn’t stop devouring it! For dessert, I chose the Crème Brûlée and the Napoléon Mille-feuille. 🍮 The crème brûlée – a light tap and that "crack!" – the caramel was perfectly crisp. As the spoon glided through, it revealed a smooth, vanilla-infused custard – soft, silky, sweet but not overwhelming. Each spoonful felt like being wrapped in warmth. ☁️ The Napoleon – layers upon layers of neatly stacked puff pastry, sandwiched with light vanilla cream. One bite, and the pastry crumbled into delicate flakes while the cream melted slowly. Paired with a black coffee – the bitterness balanced everything just right. ☕️ I’ve indulged all my cravings for the week right here! #CantHelpButTakePhotos #InternationalStudentEats #FrenchCuisine
