Las Vegas • Authentic Malaysian Food
★★★★☆ (Worth Coming Back) This place is called Boba Etc., but the name doesn’t do it justice at all. Most people think it's just a bubble tea shop 🧋, but it actually serves some of the most authentic Malaysian and Singaporean dishes around! We stumbled upon it by chance and later learned the chef used to cook at Yummy Kitchen in Shun Fat Supermarket — no wonder the flavors are so good! Unfortunately, the shop barely does any promotion, so not many know about the amazing food hidden here. It’s a shame because Vegas doesn’t have many Malaysian or Singaporean restaurants, and finding flavors this genuine is rare. We ordered Laksa 🍜, and I dare say it’s the most authentic I’ve had in the U.S. — rich, fragrant broth packed with spices, just like what you’d taste in Singapore! We also tried Belacan Kangkung (stir-fried water spinach) and Char Kway Teow (stir-fried flat noodles) — both felt like they were straight from a Singaporean hawker center 😋. Right now, they even have a promotion: order one dish and get a free bubble tea — seriously good value! I’d strongly suggest the owner consider rebranding 🏷️, because the current name really undersells the amazing food here. Let’s spread the word and support this hidden gem — or we might lose the chance to enjoy authentic Malaysian flavors in Vegas! Update: The original chef is no longer there now 🙁 📍 Boba etc. 1033 S Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89145 #LasVegasEats #LasVegas #HiddenGemsVegas #VegasFood #MalaysianFood #SingaporeanFood #EatLikeALocal
