π Las Vegas Eats | The Good, The Okay & The Not-So-Good
Just documenting my Vegas food journey β only one spot truly blew me away, while the rest ranged from decent to downright disappointing. π THE STUNNER π Moobongri Soondae Beef Rib Soup β GO DRINK THIS! π€© So rich and savory, not salty at all, and the meat is incredibly tender and fragrant. Their side dishes are super spicy πΆοΈ β the spicy pork spine soup was flavorful but too hot for me π But that beef rib soup β ahhh, Iβm drooling just thinking about it! π PRETTY TASTY π Tim Ho Wan No complaints β fresh ingredients and solid flavors. The chicken feet taste like classic braised style, pineapple BBQ buns are a win, and I loved the chive & shrimp crystal dumplings! Plus, you get your veggies in π₯¬ π Shanghai Taste Tried the soup dumplings and pan-fried buns β both good! The beef rib noodle soup was delicious with a well-balanced broth and perfect noodle thickness. We over-ordered a bit π Skip the sweet spare ribs β not flavorful or tangy enough. π Raising Caneβs How do they make chicken tenders this juicy?! π Simple but satisfying. π Tang Tang Tang Ordered the braised pork belly and cold noodles β both solid! Loved the pickled radish in the pork set β crunchy and refreshing. Side dishes here are milder than Moobongriβs. π€ JUST OKAY π Da Dan The liangpi (cold skin noodles) were alright β fragrant but oily. The three-ingredient noodle mix was fine too. But the lamb soup was a letdown β tasted only of white pepper. π Wynn Buffet More about the experience than the food πͺ They have snow crab legs, but theyβre just salty, not sweet or fresh. Iβve outgrown my buffet phase β lots of options, but nothing stood out. Desserts were decent, but youβre better off spending that money elsewhere. π DISAPPOINTMENTS My heart hurts β as a pho and Vietnamese food lover, these two spots really let me down π π Pho & Beyond Didnβt get pho β ordered shaking beef hoping for a repeat of the amazing one I had in Seattle. But it was tough and chewy β totally not the same. Left me sad and unsatisfied. π Viet Noodle Bar Learned my lesson and went with the combination pho. But the broth wasnβt rich or savory π The meat was tough, and the tendon had a gamey taste. I almost cried β why did pho betray me like this? I shouldβve just gone back to Pho Bacβ¦ π§π§ On a sweeter note: There are plenty of familiar bubble tea and dessert spots β Hui Lau Shan, TP Tea, and Cha Zhou kept me going.
