Las Vegas Hotels|Sometimes, Distance Creates Value! 💰✨
I’ve stayed at almost every interesting hotel on the Strip, so this time I tried the Virgin Hotel, just a 5-minute drive away. If it weren’t part of Hilton’s Curio Collection, I might never have noticed this resort hiding just off the main drag! 🏜️🔍 A taxi from the Strip usually costs just the base fare. The resort is livelier than expected, with two wings: Canyon and Ruby. I loved the Ruby lobby—curved layouts divide the space into distinct areas, and the retro red-and-white design with green accents feels fresh and creative for Vegas. ❤️🤍💚 Service was typical Vegas-style—polite but not overly warm. Thanks to the $20 sandwich trick, I scored a suite in the Ruby Tower! 🥪🗝️ The living room and bedroom flow together without a wall, making the space feel huge. The room is very modern, and the red color scheme naturally made me compare it to the Conrad, which also uses red—but Virgin came out slightly ahead! 🛋️🎨 The uniquely shaped furniture and artwork fill the visual space beautifully, unlike Conrad’s plain white walls. Extras like the complimentary golf-themed plush lamb, the latest JBL speaker, and wireless charging also put it a step above. If there’s a downside, it’s the slight noise from being near the airport. ✈️ The bathroom is only separated from the bedroom by a glass door and a sheer curtain—pretty bold! The deep bathtub deserves major praise. 🛁🌿 Toiletries are from Red Flower NYC—the rosemary scent is herbal and natural. As a Diamond member, I had a $19 credit. I used the buy-one-get-one-free drink voucher from check-in at the lobby bar—perfect! 🍸✅ Overall, the stay far exceeded expectations. Even though it’s priced like a Hilton, I’d choose this over the Conrad—both locations are a bit off-Strip, but when it comes to the room, Virgin wins. 🏆 Have you stayed at Virgin Hotel?
