Las Vegas Kaiseki Experience: Yuzu 🍣✨
As a chronic procrastinator, I kept debating between Yuzu and Sanga—until New Year’s Eve came and Sanga was fully booked! 🤣 So Yuzu it was! 🏃♀️💨 They offer two seatings per day—I chose the 8:15 PM slot, planning to head back to the Strip slowly after the meal to catch the fireworks. 🎆 I ordered the December special: the Nodoguro (Blackthroat Seaperch) Course 🐟🐟🐟, so future visitors probably won’t get the exact same menu—but this review can still serve as a reference! 📝 The meal included 10 courses: appetizer, sashimi, grilled dish, hot pot, fried item, pickles, sushi, hand roll, and dessert. It was incredibly generous—I was almost too full by the end! 🍱😋 Here are the standout dishes for me: 🔥 Grilled Nodoguro with Hokkaido Uni 🐟💛 The rich, oily flavor of the nodoguro paired perfectly with the super sweet Hokkaido sea urchin—an indulgent, melt-in-your-mouth experience! 🍾✨ 🥩 Wagyu Beef with Foie Gras and Black Truffle 🥩🍄 Each bite was like biting into a cloud—so tender! The beefy richness, creamy foie gras, and aromatic truffle were perfectly balanced. Three pieces were not enough! 🦞 Ise Lobster Hot Pot 🦞🍲 Half a lobster per person—fresh, sweet, and with a firmer texture than Boston or small lobsters. The broth was a bit salty but didn’t overpower the lobster’s natural sweetness. Magic! ✨ 🍤 Sea Bream & Sweet Shrimp Tempura 🍤🧈 The chef had a creative twist—the dipping sauce was solidified into a small cube (see the little square in the photo!). The tempura was crisp and well-textured. 🍣 Sushi & Hand Roll The hand roll featured minced fatty tuna and Hokkaido uni—rich, oily, and delicious! (Sorry for the blurry photo—got too excited! 📸😅) 🍜 Soba Noodles A New Year’s special! Usually, it’s a soup, but for the holiday, they served soba—symbolizing longevity and peace. A meaningful touch! 🙏 Overall, at $295 before tax, this kaiseki meal included premium ingredients like nodoguro, bluefin tuna, Hokkaido uni, wagyu, and Ise lobster. Each dish was crafted with care, presentation was beautiful, and the setting was spacious and comfortable. The chef was attentive, and the service was warm—I even practiced my broken Japanese with the staff! 🗣️🇯🇵 Highly recommended for a special celebration or a luxurious treat during your Vegas trip! 🎉💫 Have you tried Yuzu or another kaiseki spot in Vegas?
