Las Vegas New Year's Eve Trip!
I chose Vegas for a four-day getaway last New Year’s, and even though it was packed, the atmosphere was absolutely unbeatable! Looking back through my photos, I’ve put together this “special ops” recap to share my complete guide to hotels, restaurants, shows, and fireworks. 🏨 Hotels Excalibur Hotel & Casino ⚔️ This trip was all about being efficient, so I chose this budget-friendly king located at the south end of the Strip—super convenient for catching shows at MGM! 🍴 Restaurants ➕ 888 Japanese BBQ 🔥 This place is wildly popular—no reservations, walk-in only! We went right when they opened. The wait was long, but the food was totally worth it. ➕ Vanderpump à Paris & Sadelle's ✨ Grouping these two together for their stunning vibes! Vanderpump feels like stepping into a vintage Parisian manor (though the food was just okay). Sadelle's had decent towers and French toast, but let’s be real—we were here for the pics! 📸 ➕ Alexxa's 🥂 Choosing Alexxa's for our New Year's Eve dinner was a total win! Located right beneath the Eiffel Tower, our terrace seat offered a direct view of the Bellagio fountains. Dining here while waiting for the fireworks—without having to fight the crowds—was an absolute vibe! 🎇 🎡 Activities ➕ Sphere 🟢 A must-visit in Vegas this time! We watched Postcard from Earth. You can interact with the expressive AI robot in the lobby for the first hour—the viewing experience was truly immersive! ➕ SlotZilla Zipline 🦸♂️ Located in Fremont Street in Old Vegas—definitely choose the Superhero (flying face-down) position! Soaring under the neon canopy with crowds cheering below felt absolutely liberating! 💃 Shows Magic Mike Live 💥 Super interactive—if you sit close, you might just get pulled on stage! 😉 David Copperfield 🎩 A classic, old-school magic show with a slower pace. If you prefer high-energy, modern shows, this one might make you a bit sleepy... 🎆 New Year’s Eve Fireworks Guide Vegas fireworks are launched from 8 hotel rooftops simultaneously, so you can see them anywhere along the Strip! ➕ Best Viewing Spot: Thanks to our dinner at Alexxa's under the Eiffel Tower, we had a prime front-row seat! After dinner, we walked right onto the Strip (which becomes pedestrian-only by then) and counted down with tens of thousands of people—the energy was incredible! 🎉 🚧 About Road Closures The Strip starts closing to vehicles around 5 PM, with tons of police around—felt very safe! 🗺️ Post-Fireworks Exit Strategy Fireworks end around 12:15 AM—forget about catching a taxi, they can’t get in! Staying at Excalibur in the south was a genius move. We walked back with the crowd and were cozy in our room in about 25 minutes. 😄 #CaptureTheMoment #NYE2026 #LasVegas 🎊✨
