Las Vegas Two-Day Solo Trip Guide (Includes Grand Canyon)
Day 1: Las Vegas City Tour Half a day is enough to explore the main city. All the major hotels are located along the Strip. ⚠️⚠️⚠️ Important Safety Note: I personally experienced the north side of the Stratosphere being less crowded and having more homeless individuals. During my solo trip, I was chased by a homeless person shouting aggressively — “Two dollars! Don’t run! Police!” — and had to rush into a nearby 7-Eleven to escape. If safety is a priority, I recommend spending a bit more to stay on or near the Strip. Day 2: Grand Canyon West Rim Day Trip I booked a tour through Trip.com, which seemed to be a reseller for Viator. Cost: $100 per person (basic ticket), including: Round-trip bus ride Grand Canyon West Rim entry ticket A 30-minute stop at Hoover Dam on the way 🏞️🚌 My pickup was at The Strat at 6:05 AM — and it was around 5:30 AM while walking there that I encountered the homeless situation mentioned above. ✅ Overall, great value! The drive offers stunning views of the American Southwest mountains. The driver/tour guide (a friendly, humorous Black gentleman) was very engaging. Tipping was optional — most Americans gave tips, but many Asians didn’t, so I followed suit. There’s also a Antelope Canyon + Horseshoe Bend day tour available (around 1200 RMB+), but it’s a 4.5-hour drive each way — I skipped it due to the long travel time. #Travel #SoloTrip #StudyAbroadLife #LasVegas #GrandCanyon #SafetyTips #DayTours #USATravel
