Las Vegas with Kids – Tons of Hacks & Pitfalls! 🐑💸

Since it’s the end of the year, this trip was all about using up credit card benefits – and we managed to get around $3,000 reimbursed over 5 days! 💳💰 Combined with a little extra from some "math games," the overall experience was pretty sweet. My last Vegas trip was ten years ago, pre-kids. This time, I read tons of "Vegas with kids" guides on Xiaohongshu, but let’s be real – other people’s kids are just built different 😅 Here’s my detailed breakdown: 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Traveling with grandparents meant we took things slow – no intense sightseeing. We focused on making sure everyone had fun their own way: The grandparents just wanted to shop for discounted goods 🛒, so I took the kids to the Children’s Museum while they hit the outlets (they’re right next to each other!). We also stayed one night near Crystal Shopping Center 🛍️. As for me? Back in my research days, I studied Texas Hold’em strategies 🃏, so my idea of fun was doing some real-life people-watching + trying my luck at Hermès 🍀 (and luck was on my side!). 🚼 Bring a stroller – seriously! Even if your kid has outgrown it. Everything looks close on the map, but walking is no joke. And if you’re staying at a mega-resort, just getting downstairs for breakfast can be a 10-minute maze – no way could our little one handle it. 🎪 Shows with a 3-year-old? Not easy. We booked the Popovich Cats and Dog Show – supposedly the most kid-friendly – but halfway through, he got scared: "Too dark! Too loud! I wanna go home!" 🥲 So we left. Maybe 3 is still too young for shows like that. 🏨 We stayed at 3 hotels using Amex FNH, Chase Edits, and Hilton Aspire: Fontainebleau – lively and convenient, but crowded and not ideal with kids. Some cleanliness/service issues 🧼. Four Seasons – a bit underwhelming 😕. Only stayed because it fit the Edits credit. Waldorf Astoria – my favorite! Great location, peaceful yet close to everything. Perfect for families. Each stay came with $100–300 in credits + breakfast – a nice way to use up annual benefits! 🍽️ Dining: Make reservations early! We used the Sapphire $150 credit at Hell’s Kitchen – two cards covered the Beef Wellington 🥩. Also tried: Ling Wei, Samurai, Xpot. Samurai was the clear winner! 👑 #BayAreaLife #NorthAmericanLife #VegasTips #TravelWithKids #FamilyTravel #CreditCardHacks
