Lavender Town

❣️ At the Valensole Lavender Festival, the whole town mobilized, and even grandparents volunteered. The open market offered free lavender by the truckload. Must-try: ❓ Ice cream, two scoops of lavender flavor + lavender honey flavor are just right! ❓ Sausage and cheese, the slightly sweet floral scent helps cut through the richness of pork. ❓ Cheese, nicely mixed with the milky aroma. 👍 The fields on the Valensole plateau have been harvested, but it's still best to view them in mid-to-late July. 🥰 There were still flowers in Manosque, but unfortunately, just after we finished photographing the sunflower fields, a thunderstorm hit with raindrops larger than hailstones, sending us, along with our dog, running for cover 🐶 The dog has never been so eager to get into the car. Visibility inside the car was almost zero, we dared not drive, and even though the lavender fields were close, we didn't dare to go down to see them. We turned back once the rain lessened.
