Le Taillevent 🌟🌟

If you're in Paris, you've got to experience traditional French cuisine. This two-Michelin-starred restaurant has been around for a while, and I've dined here a few times. The current chef is actually Italian, which adds an interesting twist! 🇮🇹 I booked my dinner way in advance. Normally, it's hard to get a reservation for just one person, but I got lucky! I ordered the €295 four-course menu, which was overall quite good. The ingredients were top-notch, and the wine list was so thick I could barely make sense of it! 🥂 The amuse-bouche was a generous spread. The frog legs were incredibly tender, and the small tartlets had a rich variety of flavors, though nothing particularly stood out. The bread was decent, not my favorite, but it did the job. 🍖 For the appetizer, I had caviar with tuna tartare. The quality was impeccable. There was some mysterious ingredient that added a floral note—it was quite unique. 🐟 The main course featured lobster and lamb chops, with someone flambeeing the dishes right in front of us. The lobster was perfectly cooked, with a great texture and well-balanced seasoning. The lamb chops were incredibly tender, with a light seasoning that let the meat shine. I could have eaten more! 🍖 After the main course, there was a cheese cart 🧀. I chose Brie and Camembert, both with a deep, earthy flavor. If you're a cheese lover, definitely give it a try! For dessert, I had an orange and Grand Marnier cake, which wasn't quite to my taste. However, the accompanying passion fruit sorbet and another element I can't recall were quite delightful. 🍊 #FrenchCuisine #Paris #Michelin #Travel #Diary
