Left Bank of the Seine | A "Pilgrimage" Route for Literature Lovers

Hemingway once said, "Paris is a moveable feast." As a hub of intellectual activity, the Left Bank of the Seine is a must-visit for every literature lover in Paris. I’ve put together a route that you can dedicate a full day to, just follow it in the order listed.🌄 🌌🌌Start your morning with breakfast at Café de Flore. If you’ve read any European literary novels, this iconic café is a must. What a privilege it is to sip coffee and soak up the sun in a place where literary giants like Hemingway, Simone de Beauvoir, and Sartre once spent their time.⛰️ The second stop is Shakespeare and Company. With a history dating back to after World War I, this bookstore was a haunt of the "Beat Generation" and a filming location for Before Sunset and Midnight in Paris.🌁🌁 🍤The store is steeped in a rich literary atmosphere, and photography is not allowed inside. The ground floor is mainly for book sales, while the second floor has various functional areas: a reading corner, a wall of photos of literary figures, and a sun-drenched desk.🍓🍓 Be sure to buy the souvenir poetry blind box, available near the cash register – it contains three poems printed by staff using an old-fashioned printer, romantic and poetic.☀️ ❄️❄️The third stop is Notre-Dame Cathedral, right across from Shakespeare and Company. The restored Notre-Dame is bright and transparent, though in my mind, it should be as dim as described in novels. ⚡ We were lucky that day to witness a religious ceremony, with a choir singing and devout believers kneeling before the bishop.🌈🌈 🌟🌟The fourth stop is the Musée d’Orsay. Housed in a former railway station, the museum was renovated while preserving the original architectural structure. Upon entering, you can’t help but marvel at Paris’ top-tier aesthetics and design – transforming a noisy, messy train station into a stylish, modern museum.💞💞 💓It’s a paradise for Impressionism lovers. Head straight to the 5th section, where you’ll find classic works by Monet, Van Gogh, Renoir, and Degas. I was also pleasantly surprised to see L’Origine du monde here.👀👀 #TravelWithPassion #PilgrimageTour #ParisMuseums #ParisCafes #ShakespeareAndCompany #ParisTravel
