Life in New Orleans is filled with jazz and alcohol every day — this burnt-out grad student had a blast. 😌🎷 Tried the popular LUKE happy hour — the raw oysters were sandy and fishy 🦪, the chef's special was just okay, and the butter-baked ones were decent. But honestly, none beat the garlic butter-roasted oysters from a random walk-in spot! And "Cajun" flavor? Basically mild spice + salt + Chinese thirteen-spice vibes. 😂 The Natchez steamboat cruise was super fun 🚢, and the jazz halls were absolutely worth the visit 🎶. The swamp tour had wild piglets, raccoons 🦝, alligators 🐊, and turtles — you could feed them and even hold a baby gator for photos!
