Surprise foie gras steak! Wagyu uni toast! 🥩 Just a one-stop G train ride from LIC to Greenpoint—it’s super convenient! I came here after seeing great reviews for their sushi and discovering they have foie gras. Sashimi: I ordered salmon belly and tuna toro, both very fresh and thick-cut (big thumbs up!). The “deep-sea fatty tuna” lives up to its name—every bite is so satisfying! I’ll definitely try the omakase sushi next time. Wagyu uni toast: A small piece but so flavorful! The uni is sweet, the wagyu is tender, and they’re both amazing on butter-grilled toast. 🥪 Foie gras steak: Ordered medium-rare, and it was perfect! The beef is tender and juicy, and the pan-seared foie gras is rich and smooth—I love it! The combination is hard to beat, and the sauce is fantastic—slightly sweet and tangy with vegetables that cut through the richness. Shrimp sashimi: Life tip: never trust a white male waiter’s recommendations. This shrimp was just plain boiled. The cooked sashimi felt like it was from a frozen product—not as good as buying fresh shrimp from the supermarket. Next time, I’ll stick to sweet shrimp! 🍤 Overall, Verge is a great Japanese restaurant near LIC. Greenpoint is also a lovely place to explore, and I’ll definitely be back for more delicious meals! 📍 **Verge** #HiddenGemRestaurant #RestaurantRecommendation #NYCFoodie #NYCExploration #NYCLife #NYCFood #NYCFoodGuide #NYCFoodTips #Life #NYCExploration #GlobalVillageFoodContest
