LIC Rice Thief by Chef Ray 🍲
I recently moved to a new place, and I saw this Korean restaurant with marinated crab on Xiaohongshu—it made me crave it so badly! I walked in and waited for what felt like forever before a waiter finally made eye contact with me. The restaurant was seriously understaffed and super busy, so there was hardly any service. 🤍 Gunsan Platter: The crab itself was fine—plenty of roe and fat, which was very satisfying. I liked the not-too-sweet marinade. The shrimp wasn’t very fresh, so if you prefer raw marinated dishes, I’d suggest ordering the crab separately. 🍃 This dish comes with nori and rice balls, but they forgot them because they were busy. I had to chase someone down to remind them about the missing items. 🤍 Pig Feet with Cold Noodles: I thought it would be a cold noodle soup, but it turned out to be dry. The noodles weren’t great, and the pig feet were just okay—nothing special. I wouldn’t recommend this dish; you might want to try something else. 🎢 🤍 Open Sesame: I ordered this drink because the cup looked cute on the menu, but they brought it in a cheap, reflective plastic bag. It felt like pre-made alcohol, which was a real letdown. I noticed every table that ordered drinks got the same bag—it felt like a menu scam. 🌸 Overall 🌟 6/10 If you like raw marinated crab, you can order it separately. The crab is good, but the other dishes are just average. Avoid ordering drinks here—they don’t match what’s on the menu. #NewYork 🗽
