Lisbon | Comparing the City’s Two Michelin Two-Star Restaurants 🌟

🇵🇹 Michelin Star Dining in Lisbon In my last post, I mentioned hitting Lisbon’s only two Michelin two-starred restaurants: Belcanto and Alma. While both impressed, my partner and I leaned slightly toward the former for its creativity and service. 🍴 Belcanto 📍 R. Serpa Pinto 10A, 1200-026 Lisboa 💰 €250 per person The Experience: Before dinner, we were invited to tour the kitchen – a VIP touch! Since we noted "honeymoon celebration" in our reservation, the staff greeted us with Champagne and a heartfelt card: “May today’s celebration be just the beginning of many more wonderful moments to come.” Cue the happy tears – it felt like the perfect start to our new chapter 💍. The Food: Every dish was a masterpiece, paired with illustrated story cards (adorably tucked into an envelope for us to take home!). Standouts included the scarlet prawn🦐 with squid ink🦑 – a umami bomb! Even the bread stole the show: cornbread and olive rolls with three types of butter. Sweet Surprise: The “Baby Pig Caramel Cookie” dessert had no utensils – just a cloth sleeve! The chef’s note: “Relive childhood memories of wiping your mouth with your sleeve.” Playful and nostalgic 🐷✨. 🍴 Alma 📍 R. Anchieta 15, 1200-224 Lisboa 💰 €190 per person The Lunch: Opted for their tasting menu (two options at the same price): Alma: Chef’s classic creations. Costa a Costa: Coastal seafood-focused. Solid execution, but lacked Belcanto’s emotional spark. Still, a refined experience for seafood lovers! Final Verdict: For a special occasion, Belcanto’s whimsy and personalized warmth won our hearts. Alma shines for seafood-centric elegance but feels slightly more corporate. #EuropeTravel #HoneymoonGoals #PortugalTravel #LisbonEats #MichelinDining #FoodieHeaven #LuxuryTravel
