I finally made it to my long-awaited Lisbon, and it truly didnât disappointâitâs unbelievably gorgeous đ European cities by the sea are just so romantic. The temperature in late December was perfect, neither too hot nor too cold, with sunny skies every day, making it ideal for a relaxing getaway. â Hereâs a one-day itinerary (though if possible, spend at least 4 days in Lisbonâitâs hard to leave!) đșïž Route: Tram 28âs final stop â Santa Justa Lift â Uma (seafood rice) â Lisbon Cathedral â Miradouro de Santa Luzia â Castelo de SĂŁo Jorge â PastĂ©is de BelĂ©m (century-old egg tart shop) â JerĂłnimos Monastery â Monument to the Discoveries â Sunset at BelĂ©m Tower đđđ Start at the final stop of Tram 28 (Livraria Antiquaria do Calhariz, the endpoint of the iconic yellow tram). Next, head to the Santa Justa Liftâgreat for photos, but no need to wait in line. Nearby is the famous seafood restaurant đ„ Uma, which is absolutely delicious. Lisbon Cathedral (entry âŹ5), but even just taking photos outside is super photogenic. Take a taxi to Miradouro de Santa Luziaâwow, the entire city of Lisbon and the stunning ocean views are at your feet. Absolutely breathtaking! Donât miss Castelo de SĂŁo Jorge (entry âŹ15)âthe views are incredible. Hop on a bus to the century-old egg tart shop, PastĂ©is de BelĂ©m, established in 1837âthe birthplace of the worldâs first pastel de nata. A must-try! Nearby is the JerĂłnimos Monastery (entry âŹ12), followed by the Monument to the Discoveries, where you can feel the weight of history. End the day with a sunset at BelĂ©m Towerâthe sea turns shades of orange and red, leaving you speechless.
