🍣 Little Tokyo Omakase That Totally Surprised Me!
Sushi Takeda – tucked away in a standalone cottage on the third floor of a Japanese plaza in Little Tokyo. A cozy, charming izakaya-style spot 🏮 I’d been once before for their lunch menu ($110/pp) – I was late (as always 😅) and sat at a regular table. It was just… okay. But recently, I tried their dinner omakase at the counter ($180/pp) – and wow, I’d been sleeping on this place! The flavors were light, refreshing, and balanced – not subtle like Hayato where you barely taste anything. The pacing was perfect, not too slow, and the vibe was relaxed – great for catching up with family or friends over drinks 🍶 The decor seems simple at first glance, but it’s full of that authentic Japanese texture and mood. Even though I eat out a lot, I’ve become pretty disillusioned with LA’s overpriced fancy spots – most aren’t worth it. But this unassuming Sushi Takeda? It totally outshines those $300+ omakase places 🎯 Highly, highly recommend! ^_^ #OmakaseLove #JapaneseCuisine #IzakayaVibes #LAEats 🍱✨
